Its time to get a new set of rubbers (yet again)

The good people at MCAS tell me that Michelin aren't making Pilot Power 2CT's anymore! :(

But my question is does anyone know a place around the central coast to get a good set of tyres fitted for under $500?

Please don't mention Image, Woodies, Ric andrews, Central coast performance cycle center.

All are insanely expensive.

Grant, I think you will be pushing it for under $500, especially on the coast.

Yeah I know, but worth a shot.

Found a few on Ebay for about $400 delivered, but most have an aspect ratio of 65 insead of 70 for the front tyre. Im not sure I want that

Even with freight and fitting you will be under $500, if you want a 190 on the rear, I think yours is a 180 ?

Check out Graeme Morris, cheapest prices I've seen up this end, also a massive choice.

Failing that, Which Bike, Adamstown / Cardiff - Can order in pretty much anything and undercut the competitions prices.

Just don't ask them for quotes on bike parts.. $60 for one mirror, sounds great, not even OEM <,<

Mine is a 180/55

The one on ebay is 190/50... which is only 10mm wider and 5mm shorter aspect ratio. I don't mind that as I really don't do a whole lot of hard sports riding these days.

The big question is: Will they fit on my rim?

Not sure about your bike Wonko but I used to have a 190/50 on the rear of my R6 when I first got it, it fit easy. I can't imagine yours being any different.

I have been doing a little research.

It can fit on my rim (5.5 inch) but is apparently not recommended.

I might be better off sticking to my 180/55's

Bugger all difference between the two, are you sure yours is a 55 profile or is that the profile that was on it when you bought it :?:

Edit: Just checked 55 it is, as I think not much in it 50% of 190 or 55% of 180

95 mm or 99 mm, only 4 mm in it.

It really isn't a whole lot of space different.

I have found the right size on ebay, and have emailed asking about shipping costs. But I think I will probably have to end up going for the 190.

Will let you know how it feels once they are on
